Bee Social are delighted to be working with Sports Traider.

Sports Traider is a charity allowing young people the chance to have equal rights and access to sport whatever their background, ability or disability.

We’re delighted to be offering our social media services to them for free and promote the charity and their wonderful work but also the amazing events that they organise.

As a result this weekend, John, Eve and Katie travelled down to The O2 in London to manage social media for Sports Traider’s Hoops Aid event – A major sporting event for the BBL but also a major fundraising opportunity for the Sports Traider Charity involving a number of different celebrities.

Throughout the day, the team were posting live photos and videos as well as using Periscope to Livestream clips of the day to those who weren’t able to attend on the Hoops Aid and Sports Traider social media channels. The team were given press passes and able to have full access of the arena including the backstage areas!

The Hoops Aid celebrity basketball match drew in a number of well-known celebrity names including Olympic Sprinter Dwain Chambers, Ex-Professional Footballer David James and Television Presenter Mike Bushell!

As well as managing the social media platforms at the event, the team also managed it in the run-up to the event building anticipation for the event using photos, videos from celebrities, links and even competitions for tickets to the event.

Whilst we only worked on Hoops Aid, the event ran in conjunction with the British Basketball League Play-Off Final which was very exciting to see too! – Big congratulations to Sheffield Sharks and Team Northumbria for their wins in the men’s and women’s games respectively.

The team had a thoroughly enjoyable yet tiring day and would like to thank everybody involved for all their amazing work.
